ד"ר שרון זמיגרוד היא חוקרת, מטפלת בשיטת PSYCH-K® ומאמנת קיומית. שרון השלימה את הדוקטורט והפוסט-דוקטורט שלה בפסיכולוגיה קוגניטיבית ומדעי המוח במכון ליידן למוח וקוגניציה, שבאוניברסיטת ליידן, הולנד, ועבדה כחוקרת אורחת באוניברסיטת קמברידג', אנגליה.

המחקר שלה בוחן את האינטגרציה בין החושים (The binding problem) , מודעות (consciousness), ויצירתיות, ופורסם בכתבי עת מדעיים יוקרתיים. לפני כן, שרון עבדה בתעשיית ההי-טק כמהנדסת תוכנה והיא בעלת תואר בהנדסת תוכנה ומנהל עסקים. בשנים האחרונות מחקרה מתמקד בשילוב פילוסופיה קיומית (Existential Philosophy) עם תהליכים פסיכולוגים, פיזיולוגים וטיפולים כדי לפתח שיטת טיפול ייחודית - טיפול נוירו-קיומי (NeuroExistential Therapy). הטיפול מתמקד בשינויים בדפוסים בתת מודע באמצעות תהליכי PSYCH-K®, וביצירת מציאות תודעתית קיומית רצויה. שינויים אלו מאפשרים להשיג שחרור והעצמה אישית במגוון רחב של תחומים בחיים: ממצבי בריאות שונים, אירועים טראומטיים, יחסים בין אישים בתוך ומחוץ למשפחה, ועד למציאת שלוה, פיתוח עצמי ויכולת הגשמה.

שרון הציגה את מחקריה בכנסים שונים, וכן כתבה ספר בשיתוף פעולה עם בתה ד"ר ליאור זמיגרוד בתחום של הורות ומשפחה דרך זווית ראיה של הפילוסופיה הקיומית (אקזיסטנציליסטית) בשם "קיום קודם להורות - הרהורים פילוסופים ופסיכולוגים על הורות, אבסורד, ומשמעות החיים"  בהוצאת צמרת (2022). לשרון יש פרקטיקה פרטית המוקדשת לטיפול נוירו-קיומי (NeuroExistential) שמשלב שימוש בידע ממדעי המוח וגישות פילוסופיות קיומיות לשיפור הבריאות והרווחה.
